Master Your Yacht's Radar System

1-day hands-on course Β· Raymarine Axiom Β· Navigation & Collision avoidance

Duration: 1 day

About This Course

Radar on yachts is mainly used for collision avoidance and so contributes to greater safety at sea. But it only delivers that benefit to a skipper who is familiar with its principles, functions, and limits.

Our instructor has combined several years of radar experience at sea with the British Royal Navy with over 25 years in the radar industry to deliver a highly realistic and clearly understandable radar course.

This one-day radar course serves as an introduction to and familiarisation with the equipment. It is ideal:

  • On charter boats, so you can operate the equipment correctly.
  • For skippers who want to get to know their unit better.
  • To help with the purchase decision for a radar set.

Practice-oriented

The course is highly intensive and practice-oriented. We use real Raymarine Axiom 12" displays, with a maximum of 6 participants per course. That is to your benefit, as it boosts the learning effect. All dates and locations are listed below.

What Our Students Say

"I recently completed the Radar & Plotter course at PB Marine Training. Our instructor introduced us to the function and practical use of a modern radar system in a very competent and friendly manner. I can highly recommend the course."
